This book combines such efforts into a total learning strategy. This overall strategy, derived from the authors' work at Columbia, is Digital Flex Learning. Rather than using the learning management system (LMS) passively-to store a syllabus, documents, and email-the LMS can offer all the tools for a complete, flexible course. Professors can "mix and match" their lessons and strategies to meet the unique needs of their students-as a group, but also individually. Education has no "one size fits all" method-this is a framework that professors can tailor with colleagues and students in order to teach and learn a wide range of subjects at all levels.
